for better or fore worse, pop is the way of light in a darke, darke world. This shit gets me movin: “Remember Me” by Daniel Zott. Biblical? Perhaps. But I’ll let it slide with a jam like this.

Bay Area Hip Hop

That hyphy shit is dead right? Anyways, in my bandcamp quest, came up on some sick shit in the hip hop genre. First up is MidPoint. Cant find out too much on this dude, other than the track “Solitary Confinement” is pretty fuckin neat. Listen:

Next is mr Grip Grand, presumably from the eastern bay area (do I look like i know SF?). This guy’s gotten some pretty decent attention.  This song, “Rain Rain”, stokes me out.

Paper Brigade

I’ve been spending more time trolling bandcamp to find new stuff. Ran into Paper Brigade, which appears to be a small label just like the Animal Kingdom. The two bands they have released so far, Neighbors and Saintseneca, both have some pretty sick shit. Neighbors would be more pop oriented, while Saintseneca is folkier stuff. Check the tracks below.

New Dakotafish Singles Released

Mike Fish and I have been working for a year on the debut full length Dakotafish record, and we are proud to announce the release of the first two singles, “Jitter” and “Impossible Histories”.
